This installation features two hammocks woven from plastic bottle caps collected over many years. The work originates from a traveling journey through Mexico, where the practice of sleeping in a hammock and encountering the artisanal tradition of “hamacas” inspired a reflection on memory and cultural landscape. Plastic, a durable material and a symbol of contemporary life, replaces natural fibers, and the choice of bottle caps for this patient weaving is emblematic: a mundane object, discarded in modern consumption, becomes the structural core of a work that balances lightness and tension. The two hammocks, suspended in space, engage in dialogue with each other and with the viewer, offering an experience that prompts critical reflection on the relationship between body, object, and environment.

Questa installazione presenta due amache realizzate attraverso la tessitura di tappi di plastica raccolti nel corso di molti anni. Il lavoro nasce da un viaggio itinerante in Messico, dove la pratica del dormire in amaca e l’incontro con la tradizione artigianale delle “hamacas” hanno ispirato una riflessione sulla memoria e sul paesaggio culturale. La plastica, materiale eterno e simbolo della contemporaneità, sostituisce la fibra naturale e la scelta dei tappi di plastica come materiale di questa paziente tessitura è emblematica; l’oggetto quotidiano, scarto del consumo moderno, diventa struttura portante di un’opera che coniuga leggerezza e tensione.Le due amache, sospese nello spazio, dialogano tra loro e con lo spettatore, suggerendo un’esperienza di riflessione critica sul rapporto tra corpo, oggetto e ambiente.
