This work was commissioned to celebrate the birth of a child — an event that embraces joy, expectation, and the mystery of the future. It is created entirely from colored pencil tips, forming a chromatic wall — a living, vibrant surface where color itself becomes the protagonist, a symbol of vitality, hope, and freedom. The word “I would like” (VORREI) evokes the tension of desire, that subtle and continuous force that accompanies us from the very beginning of life. It is an open verb, projected forward, containing dreams, possibilities, and also uncertainty: all the emotions that arise in the face of a new life. Despite its visual intensity, the work never tires the eye: the rhythm of the pencil tips, the variety of hues, and the material itself create a dynamic balance that invites the gaze to move and the mind to imagine. It is a work that speaks not only of birth but of existence itself — of the desire that drives us to build, to imagine, to live — and that holds within it both the fear of the unknown and the wonder of what is possible.

Quest’opera è stata commissionata in occasione della nascita di un bambino: un evento che racchiude insieme la gioia, l’attesa e il mistero del futuro. È realizzata interamente con punte di matite colorate che costruiscono un muro cromatico, una superficie viva, vibrante ed il colore è protagonista: simbolo di vitalità, speranza e libertà. La parola VORREI evoca la tensione del desiderio, quella forza sottile e continua che ci accompagna fin dalla nascita. È un verbo aperto, proiettato in avanti, che contiene sogni, possibilità e anche incertezza: tutto ciò che si prova di fronte ad una nuova vita. Nonostante la sua intensità visiva, l’opera non stanca: il ritmo delle punte, la varietà delle tonalità e la materia stessa creano un equilibrio dinamico, che invita lo sguardo a muoversi e la mente a immaginare. È un lavoro che parla di nascita ma anche di esistenza: del desiderio che ci spinge a costruire, a immaginare, a vivere e che contiene la paura del nuovo e la meraviglia del possibile.
