The work takes shape through the long process of gathering and care: years devoted to cutting and stitching together thousands of PET bottle bottoms, transforming an ephemeral, industrial material into a fabric of surprising density and presence. The resulting form evokes a chain — a sign of continuity, connection, and collective strength — interrupted at its center by a large knot. Enlarged, complex, and sculptural, this knot breaks the regular rhythm of the chain to reinforce it; it embodies the capacity to endure, to hold together, and to renew the bond through transformation. The work speaks of the silent solidity of women, of their patient labor and the strength that arises from repetition and constancy. The closed links and the central knot become a metaphor for inner resilience, for a steadfast devotion to care as an act of construction and endurance.

Il lavoro si costruisce nel tempo lungo della raccolta e della cura: anni dedicati a ritagliare e cucire insieme migliaia di fondi di bottiglie in PET, trasformando un materiale effimero e industriale in una trama di sorprendente densità e presenza. La forma che ne scaturisce evoca una catena, segno di continuità, relazione, forza collettiva, interrotta al centro da un nodo di grandi dimensioni. Ingrandito, complesso, scultoreo, interrompe il ritmo regolare della catena per rafforzarla, rappresenta la capacità di resistere, di tenere insieme, di rinnovare il legame attraverso la trasformazione. L’opera parla della solidità silenziosa delle donne, della loro attesa operosa e della forza che nasce dalla ripetizione e dalla costanza.
