This work was commissioned to celebrate a union. Three chain links intertwine in an inseparable embrace, forming a sculpture that celebrates connection as a principle of construction and resilience. The links, fused into a compact and continuous composition, evoke a bond that cannot be undone, but only inhabited and nurtured over time. The entire surface is covered with hundreds of colored pencils, each slightly sharpened, like small domes emerging to create a luminous and tactile texture. The gesture that shapes the work is slow and repetitive, resembling a ritual of construction. Each pencil is placed by hand, one after another, in a process that recalls the care and perseverance required to build an authentic bond. Manual labor becomes language, and the time of making overlaps with the time of the union that the work seeks to celebrate.

Questo è un lavoro commissionato per celebrare un’ unione. Tre maglie di catena si intrecciano in un abbraccio indivisibile, dando forma a una scultura che celebra il legame come principio di costruzione e resistenza. Le maglie, fuse in una composizione compatta e continua, rimandano a un legame che non può essere sciolto, ma solo abitato e accudito nel tempo. L’intera superficie è ricoperta da centinaia di matite colorate, ciascuna leggermente temperata, come piccole cupole che affiorano e restituiscono una trama luminosa e tattile. Il gesto che compone l’opera è lento e reiterato, simile a un rito di costruzione. Ogni matita è collocata a mano, una dopo l’altra, in un processo che richiama la cura e la costanza necessarie per dare forma a un legame autentico. La manualità diventa linguaggio, e il tempo del fare si sovrappone al tempo dell’unione che l’opera intende celebrare.
