This corpus of works was conceived as a tribute to the genius of Roberto Capucci, a Master capable of transforming fabric into architecture and fashion into pure art. The idea took shape many years ago, following a visit to his Roman atelier in Via Gregoriana, a place where one could breathe the visionary power of beauty and material experimentation. In these works dedicated to Roberto Capucci, the signature pleated silks find a contemporary reinterpretation through a humble, everyday material: plastic bottles, cut, worked, and hand-stitched with utmost precision. The radiant fans of transparent plastic, capturing and reflecting the light, evoke the sculptural folds of the Master’s celebrated garments. These creations emerge from an artisanal gesture that elevates discarded material to new nobility, transforming it into sculpture. Thus, plastic — the very symbol of consumption and transience — is regenerated into a form of art capable of dialoguing with the memory of Capucci’s work and with contemporary aesthetics. It embodies both the body and the lightness of light, bowing to the one who made form and color a universal language.

Nelle opere in omaggio a Roberto Capucci le tipiche sete plissettate trovano una reinterpretazione contemporanea attraverso un materiale umile e quotidiano: bottiglie di plastica, sezionate lavorate e cucite a mano con estrema precisione.
